Artist and renowned Bachelor of fine Arts at Byam Shaw School of Art in the United Kingdom In 1988.

 

He was born in Christchurch New Zealand and lived for manny years in Camberwell, United Kingdom. Most recently in Mittagong NSW. Mr Pearson has shown his distinctive attractively circumscribed style of fine arts painting from beautifully executed portraits to scenes of fleeting and whimsical moments in mythology and everyday life, since the 1980's.

Since living in Australia Justin's works have been submitted in many solo exhibitions and to his name he has won much acclaim with sales all around the world. Justin Pearson's has held a deep interest in major opera performance for from a young age with a particular affinity for for the works of German Theatre Director and composer Richard Wagner. As an unofficial playful artist in residence at the Sydney Opera House, Justin has spent many days observing performances from the wings, creating experimental interpretations and developing his style of dramatic conceptual ideas for paintings.

Mr Pearson's (interest for opera has led Mr Pearson to paint a portrait of baritone Warwick Fyfe 2019, for entry in the Archibald prize. His Major Exhibitions have included; 2014 Maunsell Wicks Galleries, Paddington, Sydney and 2012 Maunsell Wicks Galleries, Huntington Estate Winery, Mudgee Mr Pearson's Major Awards have been; Winner, Celebrity Portrait Prize at the BDAS Gallery, Southern Highlands, 2013 Art Awards Finalist; Goulburn Art Award, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, NSW, 2011 One of his openings was at Gallery Bodalla from January 18 to February 25, 2018. Inspired by classical mythology, Justin's landscapes, figurative paintings and quirky sculptures are full of movement and beauty. "He produces fantastical images celebrating feelings that are all too human in nature, all brought together with the most beautiful use of colour," Gallery Bodalla director Valerie Faber said.
